Dr Joyce Tan is a general paediatrician who enjoys caring for neonates, infants and children with a variety of acute, chronic and
complex issues, including concerns about sleep and settling, nutrition and weight, eczema, asthma, hay fever, food allergy, growth and development.
Joyce believes in a holistic approach which is patient and family centred. Her clinical practice is trauma-informed and evidence-based.
Joyce works as a consultant paediatrician at Liverpool Hospital and at Camden Residential Unit, Karitane.
Joyce obtained her medical degree from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. She completed her paediatric training through the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network and John Hunter Children's Hospital. Joyce is a member of the Neurodevelopmental Behavioural Paediatric Society of Australasia. She is a conjoint associate lecturer at the University of New South Wales and an expert content developer for a simulation based medical education game. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and
presented at conferences.
When not working, Joyce cherishes time with her young family and enjoys baking experiments.
